9. Bota Fogos to PP and CPP

A Bota Fogo is a pattern consisting of a forward or backward walk on count "1", followed by a pressure step to the side on counts "a2".

The Bota Fogo to PP
When the Bota Fogo begins with the man's left foot on count 1, it can be turned to promenade position on counts "a2". The first step can be forward or back, in line or outside partner, or taken from counter promenade position.

The Bota Fogo to CPP
When the Bota Fogo begins with the man's right foot on count 1, it can be turned to counter promenade position on counts "a2". The first step can be forward or back, in line or outside partner, or taken from promenade position.

The figure as outlined in the man's and lady's parts begins in closed position. The man steps forward on his left foot (lady back on right foot), in line with lady, to dance a Bota Fogo to promenade position. They then dance a Bota Fogo from promenade to end in counter promenade, followed by a Bota Fogo from counter promenade to end in promenade. Measures 2 and 3 (steps 4-9) can be repeated as desired.
