Hustle Beat

I am learning hustle at the bronze level and had been taught to use the counts "and 1, 2, 3". I've done well on this beat, however, I've observed in the recent past that a beat of "1, 2, and 3" is also being used. I would have easily disregarded the latter except that the guy doing it is extremely good. Which one is conventionally used? Thanks.

I use the "and 1 2 3" count. It doesn't matter which you use in hustle (so I have been told by the pros). I believe the phrasing of the music is such that it won't make a difference, unlike waltz where count 1 occurs on the first beat of each phrase or else your pro will disown you
