My wife and I have been learning this dance (Int Foxtrot) for 2 years
now and are still confused by the proper timing of the footwork to the
beat of the music. Some couples seem to dance it to an off beat
(starting every new step (Slow), or every other new step on the beat -
but finishing (Quick,Quick) the step not necessarily on the beat of the
music. Other seem to dance right on the beat. Is there a timing
convention for this dance or is the timing at the discretion of the
dncers?

Many thanks,

Pete Zafian
