Does anyone recall, or know via dance history, what dance people used to do to all those '50's tunes that had the "bounce" or "upstrum" beat with emphasis on the 2 & 4? A typical example of hundreds of these tunes with this 4/4 beat is Como's "Magic Moments" or, say, the Skyliners' "Since I Don't Have You." I know everyone wasn't "slow dancing" then, no one knew what nightclub 2-step was, and I can't remember what was going on then. It would be nice to be able to utilize all that music somehow - all I've been able to vome up with, is "social foxtrot" (walking to the music, all slows).
