Looking at the moving computer images on a Forward and Backward Walk the more impressed I become. It is possible to see on a Forward Walk how the back foot goes right to the toe, and the apearance of actually floating onto the next step with the thrust forward. Anybody who wishes to see how the step should be done , go no further. look for the same type of action on a Backward Walk. Congratulations again to Johnathon and the very attractive computer image. I like the hair cut.

Don, I wouldn't exactly trust those as the final word given that their creator has commented that they have problems and he would like to re-do them, if he still had a working install of the software they were created in.

Anonymous. You have not looked at the new moving images of a Forward or Backward Walk yet. Untill you have I would suggest that you digest and come back. Remember to look at the rear toe. Do you remember that little discussion a while back when I pointed out the toes on the Forward and the Backward movement go to their maximum. What did you have to say about that among other things. Which included, find yourself a teacher. Well, who was right and who was wrong.

"Anonymous. You have not looked at the new moving images of a Forward or Backward Walk yet."

All I see are the same quicktime movies, copyright 1998, with the same mistakes they've always had.

"Do you remember that little discussion a while back when I pointed out the toes on the Forward and the Backward movement go to their maximum. What did you have to say about that among other things."

I said only if the movement was large enough to make that natural. You can't go tossing in random details that conflict with the size of the movement you are actually taking, without looking like some kind of charicature of the do-goody student who hasn't got a clue about proportion.

"Well, who was right and who was wrong."

I was and still am. If you think an that little old video is an authority, well, that's funny.

Anonymous. I would say to anyone reading this to go and have a look for yourselves. try to copy as much as you can. Remembering this is a Forward Step. It could be the first step of a Feather Step. Or the first Step of a Natural Turn in the Waltz. The action is the same. It doesn't alter. If its Waltz you turn at the end of and not into. If its Foxtrot you sway on the second and third step. some coaches like to call this swing. Instruction is needed here. Over do the Sway and you will finish leaning into your partners space. Going to other parts of the Learning Section you will see all you need to see. That's why it was put there.
