Anonymous. There are many differences between the offical technical summery and the details of execution.
Where did you get that one from.
Where exactly was what I wrote wrong. And what's with the word literal direction. You are actually saying my translation was wrong.
And your last paragraph is agreeing but written in such a way that the whole idea becomes yours. You have quite a habit of doing this. You should try to stop this insidiouse way that you have.

No, Don, it is not your idea.

Your idea was the extremely unwise claim that "it is never a good idea to go to the other persons steps as a guide ever"

Anonymous. I'll say it again with a little more added. Don't ever take it for granted that the ladies steps are a mirror image of the man's. In a Slip Pivot how many pivots does the man have and how many does the lady have. From a Wrong Foot Lunge into a Telespin How many steps does the man have, and how many does the lady have. That is only two points to illustrate what I first said.
Sometimes the way you write is deliberatly none commital. You keep one leg each side of the fence so that later you can jump back if it suits.
Do you really think that everybody is that naive.

"Anonymous. I'll say it again with a little more added. Don't ever take it for granted that the ladies steps are a mirror image of the man's."

That's an entirely new comment!

No one had even remotely recommended assuming the parts are mirror images of each other. Instead, I had said that the other partner's action provides important information on details of your own which may be below the precision of the notation system, and given an example to support that.

And you foolishly chose to spout your nonsense that "it is never a good idea to go to the other persons steps as a guide ever"

Anonymous. Its beginning to show how much you really know. You were very quiet about the Slip Pivots and the Telespin. Unusually quiet.

Silly boy. As you injected them as a result of your own misunderstanding, I simply ignored the irrelevent comments.

Good luck trying to undestand either without careful study of you partner's action. Of course you will refuse to make such a study, since you believe that "it is never a good idea to go to the other persons steps as a guide ever"

Anonymous. We are always drilled on the ladies steps as well as our own or are asked questions like how many Pivots does the man have, and how many does the lady have. Therefore we give the lady time to do her exra Pivot This also goes for the other studio which is Latin, where very often we go through the basic movements of the ladies steps to music and vice verser. Its a lot easier to do this in Latin where we can line up across the floor or in files. This is all done solo, the modern also.

Don, sounds like you have grown up and realized the need to take back your earlier foolish statement that:

"it is never a good idea to go to the
other persons steps as a guide ever"

Obiously you are realizing that an awarness of the other part is in fact a key guide to understanding your own tasks!

Anonymous. You've got that wrong. Did I or did I not say that the ladies steps are not a mirror image of the man's and should not be treated as such. Which means exactly what it says.
