Hi I've been ballrooming for almost 6 months now and I know that I do have a long way to go but how does one get involved in competions?

If you are interested in swing competitons. Try a web seach for swing dance competitions. Also, "Jack and Jill" events are very popular with the swing community, so you don't need a partner to compete. You draw for one at the event.
