Foxtrot - Nat. Twist Turn

Here's a question I'd liked answered by the ladies (the followers) if
possible, but I'll gladly listen to any of this learned group.

My partner (my wife) says she cannot feel a significant difference between the beginning of the natural twist turn (NTT)and the natural telemark (NT) to know which step I am leading. Thus she now makes all of her NTTs as though she is doing a NT (probably more like a N-Hover-T).

My comment back to her is that the Twist turn should feel more like a gentle rotation (around me) in a small rotational area while a the NT is a quicker, displacing move to my right (her left). Thus, the speed of the movements should be her indicator.

I start to rotate my right hip slightly backwards as I bring my right leg behind my left leg on the "&" part of the timing on the NTT, but she insists that she realizes it too late to step on the "&" count and steps
on what would be the 2nd "Q" count of a normal natural turn. We do keep our lower body contact during the turn. She has no problems recognizing either the NT or N-Hover-T.

Am I not properly leading this turn, is there some minor leading trick I never learned, or is more practice in order?

Many thanks to you all for helping.

Pete
