Dévelopé / developé

Dévelopé / developé … An unfolding movement of the working leg into an open position in the air. And (Dev-Lo-Pay) An action whereby the free foot is drawn up to the knee of the supporting leg, and then extended (or "developed") until the leg is completely straight.

Can someone please explain how to do a basic dévelopé?

What are the rules in doing a dévelopé?

Should the lady use the inside leg or outside leg?

Does it always start on a one or four?

Or can it start on other numbers?

Can it take more the two counts of music?

Everything anyone would like to know and more?

If anyone has any information, you can answer by emailing me or on line.

Thanks, Sk
