Chacha steps

Dear all

Could you please tell me some info about Chacha step (I mean step descriptions):
1. Time step. I don't know this figure
2. Curl (I know Curl in Rumba, but how different in Rumba it is?)
3. The difference between Shoulder-to-shoulder simple and Shoulder-to-shoulder Advanced
4. Is Forward and Backward Run in Int' style is the same as Progressive Lock in American Style?

Thank you a lot.

Regards,

Manh Cuong

I believe that domanhcuong's point is that both man and lady cannot step on all five of 2 3 4&1 otherwise there is no foot change. Normally the man is the one that changes feet either by taking an extra step or by leaving out a step (which also includes "fake" steps, say a foot flick instead of an actual step with weight change). The latin technique book does describe the various methods of changing feet, but I don't know them well enough to give a shortened description and I don't want to just copy everything out of the book. If you want to know a specific change though, I'd be willing to copy that. I'm not going to copy all six (3 to same foot, 3 to opposite foot) though.

Dear Dronak, Jonathan W Akinson, HaoanhTranthanh, Blair.

Yes I think the meaning of that syllabus "Foot change" is the change of foot. If the dancer uses timing 234&1, there's no change. So I agree with Dronak your way. But how could we change foot, how many methods...? Could you please copy an example?

Thank you and regards,

Deal Dronak, Jonathan W Atkinson, Blair

Thank for explain me how to do that. I have some more question about Chacha steps
1. How to do Spiral in chacha
2. How to do Foot Changes in chacha. (I think maybe it's timed 2341 to change foots, isn't it true?)

You said "How to do Foot Changes in chacha. (I think maybe it's timed 2341 to change foots, isn't it true?)". As far as we know this is a " Foot changes" in chacha. This syllabus is in common use in Fellowship examination of ISTD. It has three methods. You can check out it in pages 124-126 of ISTD book " Latin American Chachacha". It is counted "2.3.4&1".

We hope that what we have written above is helpful.
