I'm taking lessons in Tokyo, Japan and interested in teaching ballroom dance in the futer. Now, I'm thinking of taking an exam for professional teachers and I knew that there is an certification certified by an international organization, WD/DSC. I heared that many of dance teahcers in Europe have got this. Is this well know in your country and do you think it's worth taking this? I heared that the adverntage of this exam is that we can get teaching method and it's very pratical.

You might want to look into ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance) Certification for Standard and Latin.

All teacher certification courses offer different focus and the istd formula is used by the cdta. which is the canadian arm of wd&dsc. You will also have to choose if you want to teach for money or pleasure through social dance or competitive. ISTD is excellent competitively but if it is for joy of dance and sharing knowledge for social setiings then this may lead to certification through FADS (Fred Astaire) or AM (Arthur Murray) they have excellent teacher trainging programs available or my studio in Canada but I do not know if they are available where you are.
