Too Late?

This is probably some form of "self -pity". I am 28 yrs old female and never learn to dance before until 5 month ago when I started to learn ballroom dancing.I came twice a week and also practice at home when I have the chance. I love dancing very much and the only regret I have is not to do this when I was young.

When I look at other female dancer in my class who dance very well, I want to be able to dance like that but I doubt it. These girls are just in their early 20's and they have learn dancing when their were young (they started dancing jazz or tap or ballett when they were 10 yrs old, some even younger) that is why they have a very good foundation in dancing. I believe that same rules apply when you learn a musical instrument when you were very young, it is easier to learn another musical instrument because you have a good foundation. I did not start until I am 28.

Sometimes it is easier for me to blame my parents who keep pushing me to work in the family business ( I have been working in my family business since I was 19 for 60 - 70 hrs/week) and for not putting me in ballet / tap / jazz lesson when I was 10 (I know it is not Their fault, They just want the best for my future ).

Ok enough with my life boring story. I know that I will be able to dance socialy and sometimes I imagine that I am going to compete in the international dance comp one day. But the truth is I know that it is TOO LATE for me to be able to dance like those girls and to be able to compete in the international level is just a dream. I am too old.

I just want your HONEST opinion about this. oh, did I forgot to mention that I am also a slow learner.

Thanks in advanced for your response
