Thank you very much for the information! We will see if we can concoct a dance for the song or try and seek a professional for some assistance.

Anymore additional assistance would be fantastic!

I am currently teaching a wedding couple who are dancing to a song with a beat and feel that's very similar to Storybook Love. The trouble with this type of song is that it has a very slow sound, but actually a rather faster beat. As a result, if you dance Rumba, Rumba-style, your dancing will look too fast and not mesh with the music. The tempo and rhythm are actually best for nightclub two-step.

My students didn't want to do a nightclub two-step. They envisioned something a little grander and more traditional. This led me to do something which, as a long-time ballroom dancer, just hadn't occured to me: create a hybrid dance!

It's really simple and obvious, actually. They are dancing Waltz steps with SQQ timing (since it's 4/4,) with just a little rise and fall to keep their movement smooth so that their dancing goes well with the sound of the music.

The only problem now is trying to decide what to call this dance! (Fortunately no one cares but me.)

I hope this helps you!

hm...I would dance Square Rumba to this song. In my oppinion Foxtrott would also be possible but I would prefer Square Rumba.
