Starting (socially) from scratch is always a challenge, because you have no idea what to expect, but hey! Give it a shot! You never know how it may turn out You could bring a friend along, so you both can start dancing classes at a danceschool of your choice. That's what I did. (Actually, my friends dragged *me* along ) You'll meet new people and make new friends, it's always worth a try. Give it some time and it won't be that scary anymore

(BTW, I practiced judo too when I was 7 through probably 10 years old. I started dancing at age 16 )
