Although I've never lived there, this is what I do know: The competition is fairly stiff there, with some powerhouses such as David Weiss & Valentina. But the dancing scene is huge, so I would imagine that there's business enough for everybody.
I would suggest pursuing training and employment with the Metronome ballroom. It's one of the biggest independent studios in the country, and I hear they have a phenomenal teacher training program there. Check the Ballroomdancers.com dance directory to get contect info for them.
