No, Disco 2-step (AKA Nightclub 2-step) is a medium tempo dance with a pulse, similar to Bossa Nova. It's a little bit more upbeat than Nightclub or Disco Foxtrot, which is essentially just a slow dance (kind of like "Y-dancing") but with a SSQQ rhtyhm.

I have also been wondering what "disco fox" would be like. I think it is another name for a basic form of swing, probably originated in Germany. Two reasons why I believe this: 1)a compilation-CD called "disco fox" I bought is from a german publisher. 2)The only website where I found the name is from a german danceschool: http://www.tskaechele.de/leitfaden.htm#DISCO-FOX. Here you find a short description of the basic step. In Belgium we call this "disco-swing".
