puzzle about dance types

Interesting question!!
Most of these songs were 4 beat-to the bar, and so you could do a fox-trot to them. THey weren't meant for that though, and the tempi are far from standard fox-trot (except in a few cases). I actually like to practise to slow fox-trots (about 20-25 bars/minute)as it's difficult and forces you to have excellent balance and control.
What sort of dance were they meant for? Well, here's a clue - try smooching to them

You could do foxtrot if you really wanted to, but it would be SLOW.
