which publication?

I am finding out that there are many publications on ballroom dancing. Does anyone know which one is more informative? I am interested in International style. I would like to know what's out there in a larger world (USA and Europe).
Thank you in advance.

The ISTD does have a separate book on V. Waltz.

I think the new one is called Dance Active. I know nothing about it, except that it's way too expensive for me to subscribe! I know that you can find subscription info on Dancescape's site, if you're interested. As far as US publications go, I get Dance Beat. Mainly a competition result source for the US (though it does have limited coverage of *some* international events). Not a source for technique tips. I've read the Ballroom Dancing Times, but personally didn't find it useful. The web is my best and most current source of international info -- I check a variety of sites on a regular basis.

I was reading yesterday that Karen and Marcus Hilton are sometimes called the "greatest champions ever." They are planning an article in DanceActive next time about their secrets for developing a superb top line. DanceVision carries their teaching videos. Not sure about the other companies since I am not as familiar with them.

Perhaps you mean Dancing USA?? Although my recollection is that the magazine has been out for much longer..

Check out www.dancingusa.com for online reading.

I subscribe to the Ballroom Dancing Times from England, they have a website which is easy to find. It is a nice little publication, coming out monthly. There is an new publication from England which I have avoided for personal reasons which many like. It was started about a year ago, with a debut coinciding with Blackpool 1999. I don't remember the name of it. But it was something like Dancing Now or Dancing Today.

Dear Lauren, Dave Goggin, Keh Gough, David, vcalvin, Sriram Shankar, and Waltz123:

Thank you for your valuable information. I also found a web site "dancevision.com." There was a list of publication under "NEWS & EVENTS."

I will choose one or two to subscribe soon.

The one titled The Ballroom Technique does not include V. Waltz. It has waltz, foxtrot, quickstep, tango.

Getting back to my earlier question, are there US and/or European monthly or bimonthly ballroom dance publication which offers information on the coming events, camps, some topics on technique, etc? I am interested in finding out what's happening in the International Ballroom Dancing world in the entire US and Europe.

I browsed through the web sites, and forgot where I saw the list.

Any recommendation?
Thank you.

Does the ISTD manual cover viennese waltz also? Professor Atkinson doesn't mention that in the blurb for the book on his bookstore page.
