...or so said Anonymous with that not so subtle hint of condescending sarcastic superiority, perhaps not realizing this has become typical fare of the Anonymous posts here. FYI, I was referring to the website. I was sorely tempted to add my own somewhat nasty reply as in 'you-pompous-arrogant-maleducated-so-and-so' but that wouldn't be polite nor inelegant enough to match such a profoundly abusive response, would it?

So I'll just refrain and say that this thread just seemed like the spot to mention that this place (ie THE Website) used to be more friendly and combat-free. So I don't think I'll be swinging by too often anymore.

But thanks a bunch for making me feel ever so welcome.

To all those who are so critical of a discussion about forces, i would say this - nobody is making you read this thread, and there's no excuse for such impolite comments about those who contribute to it.
This IS a discussion page, and sqq posted a reasonable point which some of us responded to.

Well we seem to have everyone's attention anyway! Listen, I admire everyone's passion for dancing (it is, after all a magnificent obsession)...I'd just love to hear what ELSE inspires you guys(QS, Phil, Anonymous...Ye of the lofty thoughts on footwork and physics). Who do you most admire? Who inspires you? Who inspires your teachers? I was 1st inspired by John Wood and Anne Lewis...they danced a Waltz, and while the music played at normal speed I could swear it was filmed in slow motion. I've always loved Luca Barrichi and Loraine. My current favorites are Pino and Alessandra (in fact all of those Italians are really onto something, and I think Hans Laxholm has a lot to do with it.) My teachers are influenced by the likes of Benny Tollmeyer, Peter Eggleton, the Hilliers, the Irvines, Hans Laxholm, etc...Do you guys ever branch out from Alex Moore's book? (Not that it isn't a great reference, but let's face it...we can all buy the book). Have you checked out the Dance tid-bits on the U.K. site? Great stuff!
