Dear Sirs,
A group of young people, we created a project for ballroom, latin and social dances and called it "A step ahead". It aims to prepare the young people in Bulgaria, dealing with ballroom and latin dances, by an educating seminar to become initiatiors and leaders to a net of social dances. This classes will include young people from 12 to 25 years old and is planned to be organized in the second half of the project. By the extend net of classes the negative social behaviour will be preventively overcome. This will attract the young people to an activity that is close to their needs of social communication, and will help young people with behaviour problems to admit a socially acceptable way of life, as well. The project aims to popularize this wonderful sport - the sport dances, which are not so popular in Bulgaria and to distract the young people from drugs, alchohol and other negative habits and to give another meaning to the discoteques as a place to dance and relax, not as a place to go and smoke and drink.
The project includes two phases - the first one is 5 days educating seminar on ballroom, latin and social dances, with lecturers from Bulgaria and abroad. The seminar will be for the young people in Bulgaria who deal with sport dances and aims to enrich their experience in the field of ballroom, latin and social dances in order to become initiators of classes on social dances (which are not so popular in Bulgaria yet).
The second phase will be the creation of a two-month class on social dances in Smolyan, Bulgaria which is to finance itself after the end of the project. This classes will include young people with behaviour problems and others who want to fill their time with something pleasant and useful.
Unfortunately there is no way that we could finance this project by ourself. The full project is assessed to aproximately 4500 Euro but we could do something to lower the expenses.
We are looking for an organization that might be interested in financing the project.
Anyone who is interested may receive a full description of the project, and of course a full budget.
Any help is welcome.
We are begging for your cooperation.
Evgenia Hadzhigencheva - leader of the project
