I am hoping that someone here can answer my question
or put me in contact with someone who can. I am
studying the American Style Silver syllabus with
my instructor, who is already certified in Bronze.
For the Bronze exams, he studied the NDCA manual
and videos. For the Silver level dances, there is
a manual by NDCA (no videos) and a set of videos
by NADTA (no manual). There are differences
between the two. It is difficult to visualize
steps from a written description alone, and it is
also difficult to extract the necessary details
from a video demo of a step. Nobody I have tried
to contact seems to know WHAT should be studied for the Silver level exams. I hear persistent rumors of the Silver manual being updated, but the NDCA publications director denies this. Is there an examiner out there or someone who has taken the Silver level exams recently who can clear this up for me? Thank you!
