Another movie is "Swing Kids." This is about Nazi suppression of the swing scene in pre-war Germany.

How about "Scent of a woman"?
Only one scene of Tango, but overall it's a great movie!!!
And "Evita" with many Argentine Tango scenes

I realy hesitate to mention "Queen of Stardust Ballroom". The story is dull and the dancing is poor. I would give it 2-stars rating.

"Burn the Floor" is another disappointing one. Not much ballroom dancing but with lots of show dances, stage performance, modern dancing etc. I would give it 3-stars rating.

"Ballroom Dancing-The international Championship" ISBN 0-8030-1210-1, by V.I.E.W. Video Inc.
Championship competition final footage plus featured demonstrations of Donnie Burns/Gaynor Fairweather in Latin and Marcus & Karen Hilton in Standard. Although this VHS is not a movie but 60 minutes full of pure ballroom dancing enjoyments. I had watched this tape over and over 40-50 times. 5-stars indeed.:)

Keh Gough

Have you seen:

Tango (1998/1999) - An Argentinian Movie (In Spanish with English subtitles). This one's got everything. A great movie allround. Also, the Argentine Tango sequences in the movie are awesome.

The Tango Lesson (Sally Potter) - (French/ English). A few good dance sequences. A captivating movies (for a dancer) in the French style.

Shall we dance? (1996/97)- A Japanese Movie (In Japanese with English subtitles). The dance sequences are not that great but you have to see this one if you are a dance lover.

Len.
