I love east coast swing dance music the best, but love it when a band throws in a mix. I'm "40 something" and need to catch my breath once in the while. LOL

Recently caught a performance of the Dorsey Brothers Band...and it was golden. Lots of great swing music...but they threw in a cha-cha, waltz, and rumba as well as foxtrot. It was a wonderful evening.

I have seen the Tommy Dorsey Band, which gives a nice salute to the Sinatra hits...but keeps pretty much to a foxtrot beat. The DORSEY Brothers band is much more fun for dancing.

The really sad thing is at these performances, most of the dancers are 70 or older. Us "young folks" need to support these classic bands...or they might discontinue their tours!

If you are young, like to swing, check out the Dorsey Brothers band...it's worth the money.
