Right now I like "La Bomba" which can be found on-line through several dance cd merchandisers...it's a heavy beat, funky samba...also, some really good sambas on a cd I have heard called afro-cubana..I can't think of the group right now, but I will work on it. Good luck, M

I believe that the second samba you are referring to is kiss kiss by stella soleil. she says "you don't have to act like a star, try your moves in the back of a car" It's popular around here right now. If you like it, check out the original version in turkish called simarik sung by tarkan.

Dar and Michelle: Thanks so much for your quick responses. I'm planning to challenge my "record store" with all of these songs.

In my search, I discovered the song "Bathwater" by No Doubt (on Return of Saturn.) A Tango/Swing Medley!! An unusual showcase song. Can't wait to try this one!
