One of the Russian girls at the studio asked me if I were a professional tonight. I told her no, the answer to her was I don't get an income from my dancing therefore I am an amateur, not a professional. At least that is the definition in U.S. as well as some other countries.

It will not be easy to answer your guestion, but I will try. I also sensed that you are not from the U.S. If you will possibly tell us why you want to be a professional, that will narrow down some directions as to answer your question is concerned.
