Hi Katy

The Big Top is really just a pivot turn to the left. It's mainly used to change direction. Here's the breakdown

1. Step through into promenade position.
2. Man starts to turn left and crosses the LF behind the RF. (Lady steps to side RF closing LF to RF without weight)
3. Man continues turning left and steps back a small step with the RF dancing a pivot. (Lady
steps towards partner a small step turning left. This is called a pivoting action).

Hope this is understandable. It's not easy trying to write or follw technique from words.
