To Blair - Regards. Of course 1 2 3 4& would also be correct. Assuming 1 is a hip movement and you STEP on the count of 2.
To t'other reply - nope - there is not more than one RIGHT timing for the Ch Ch CH ( or indeed most other dances) you're either right or wrong

In all reality, latins are much more complicated in movement style than the basic counting rythyms... However, there are two basic counting patterns, and both our correct. The difference is one "bumps" the beat. I'm not sure if any of you have heard this terminology, but that is what we call it at my dance studio..
