Glad you enjoyed it. We were particularly pleased that they were wearing video-friendly attire (namely, no black). Beleive it or not, this is exactly why we have this video clip. I came into the studio one day, saw the way they were dressed, happened to have my camera with me, and said, "Hey guys... wanna film a variation?"
I'd like all of the variations to look like this, but part of the problem is that optimal circumstances do not always present themselves. When it comes to variations, we often take what we can get, since we're trying (somewhat unsuccessfully) to put them out once per week.
What I'd like to do one day is a full-scale production like we did with Donald & Kasia, but with variations. We'd take a whole day, bring a few different couples in, and have each of them dance 8 or 10 variations. We could get a whole years' worth of them off of one good shoot. And the quality would be excellent... not only the video quality, but also the choreography, since it could be planned ahead of time.
But our first goal is to get all of those basics out. Once that's settled, we'll have some fun.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Atkinson www.ballroomdancers.com
