Im from Manila, Philippines and sadly to say
that even I myself cannot understand the way we teach Ballroom Dancing here! We have plenty of dancing hall here just like disco house and have this what we called Dance Instructors or D.I 's for short where they offer their services for per hour basis. I tried once but Im very dissapionted! they didnt even know the names of the figures and they dont know their floorcraft either! But cannot Teach proper technics! The way Ballroom dancing here is very different, in fact we dont have any decent dancing school here with stadarized syllabus and maybe that the reason. it Pushes me to relly on instructional Video and ofcourse; this site to continue my dancing craving.Im doing some research and I found out that filipinos are good dancers, and also a fast learner but unfortunatelly, we dont have dancing school here. Im just wondering if some investors will look forward to put up school here because this will benefit both of us. We have dancesports council of the Philippines but I think its just only politics. we have many competitors here, Self proclaimed competitors!!!
imagine this; they practice with their partners for 3 months before competition!! in fairness to other, not all of them sucks. I have more to say but ill cut it now from here. Like to thanks this site for informations. god bless!
