In regard to body tilt...
A teacher whose class I took recently had the girls practice their sugar push by walking 1, 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6 forwards. Drive your steps by pushing with the back foot. It's the guy's job to stop you from ploughing him over. This really helped me a lot.
I try to be centered a little bit forward, but not actually tilt. I just tried it, and I foound that I do tilt forward a little on the three and four. I'm not quite sure if this is right.

P.S. For technical questions about WCS, try posting to the newsgroup rec.arts.dance, where there is a rabid and knowledgable WCS community willing to answer nicely posed questions (just don't take offense if they argue).

car...yeah I guess thats important. I think i should go for the whole licence thing first though Somehow I got to be 19 and still don't know how to drive.

I saw you posted on lindycafe today--that was weird jeje I guess its the whole mixing worlds thing but not quite. Its really freaky when that happens though--i moved a couple years ago and one of my new friends moved shortly after that--right next door to the house i used to live in!! Small world, i guess. You heard of jive junction? if you go to www.delphi.com and search for jive junction or swing you should find it...nice little so cal forum

Thanks so much you are very generous! I'm going to try the roll with imaginery glass wall. Your explainations are excellent. I was doing rolls that didn't have much isolation so I think this help. I thank you so much! (I may pick your brain again, if you don't mind!)

Beg your pardon, Jess. I was referring to the question about music, which I think is probably worth a new thread.

Freaky description, but I think you're talking about a sugarpush. I dance east coast, but I only know that because people told me that is what I learned...really I have watched a WCS night and seen little difference except the music. Anyway, with that said (disclaimer), I think I start leaning in somewhere during the second "walk", but people have told me I lean in too soon. I would say that leaning should start on the first triple step (that way you would be in the right position if you were going to do that neat little variation that has the slide-hop at the end).

Yeah, I'm working on the liscence thing too actually. I need one before I go to Texas, because that's a big state. I'm trapped in a vicious cycle right now because I can't get my liscence because I don't have a job to pay for the insurance, I can't get a job because I have no way of getting there. I'm only 18 though, so I have a few months before my parents kick me out of their house

Actually, I went to LindyCafe.com because of a post that you posted here under another thread. That's a great site! I've seen Jive Junction before but never had time to really look at it
