re: direction of closed finish

I have a begginers suggestion which works for me...simple but not sophisticated. Based on an 8 count basic (salida), at the count of 5 my feet are together and my partner's feet (lady) is in cruzada. From here, we just do a walk (caminata) with the counts 2,3,4,5. On the 5th count, I am back to feet together and my partner's feet in cruzada just like before initiating the walk. I can curve the walk or do it successively to arrive at the point I wanna go including the line of dance if necessary. I just close it with counts 6,7,8 using the american tango close. I hope it helps.
