OK---have been dancing this a bit...IMO it is OK for a purpose, i.e. to show a linking change in a routine etc. but I really much prefer the hand to hand hold which seems to give me a little more elasticity with my partner...especially for social dancing..some guys I tried this with really whipped me around, the wrist hold gives them a lot more control over my movement...

So, I like it alright...but it's no substitute for the traditional hand to hand...as a man I would only do it with women I was familiar partnering

Keh--

Like Michelle, i am wondering, shere did he execute the change from hand to hand to the wrist hold?? In my experience the hockey stick (as with many latin patterns) is so dynamic (partner interdependent) that connection is tremendously important....besides, I am wondering how a wrist hold might limit the moves which it would be comfortable to go into after the hockey stick...it depends on when you leave the wirst hold i guess...hmmm...I'll ask around, and get back t you, interesting question!
