Watched some of the latin competition on PBS the
other nite; didn't see many recognizable figures
but rather a lot chreographed moves and free style
hotdogging. Is this really what professonal dancing is all about ? Is the king really wearing any clothes ?

If you'd like you can scan through the older posts...I'm pretty sure that we've already coverec this string. Briefly though...most of us did really appreciate seeing the great past champions...but still...for the biggest comp. in North America....it did leave a bad taste that they didn't show ANY of the competition. Hpoefully they'll do better next year! And finally, no, I don't think that cutesy choreographed numbers are the heart of dancesport....Go to a local comp..and watch the sweat pour off of a pro competitor....better yet...watch some student dancing...it's the foundation that pays for all the hype!
