Request for Dance Songs: Fox Trot & Waltz

Just starting out and building my dance music collection. Any suggestions for fox trot or waltz songs that are good for dancing (e.g., pronounced beat that doesn't fade in and out too often?)that should be a part of my collection.

For something not so _strictly ballroom_, but also excellent music, you should try Natalie Cole's CD of remakes...it's not in my hand but I think it has Orange Colored Sky, Route 66, Don't Get Around Much Anymore (and other great classic foxtrots).

Check out Ballroom Swing album. I think this website sells it. For waltz with constant and pronounced beats, try Romance Anonyme (title) from napster.

Try looking at the store, "Music for a Song," at the Jeffersonville Outlet Mall, half-way between Cincy and Columbus on Interstate-71. The CDs have all ballroom dances and Latin-American. Can't find mine at the moment; but, they're both Arthur Murray CDs, versions 1 and 2.

You might also get some library-building ideas and where-to-dance in Ohio on www.DanceMeTonight.com.
