Does in body know the differences between ISTD's syllabus and DVIDA's Syllabus? How close are they and which one is better?
Not sure what the differences are

But I heard that DVIDA's syllabus is designed that when the patterns are done in the order taught, it's a choregraphed routine.

Which could be good or bad, half of the fun is learning a step, then trying to figure out how to get in and out of it.

I think Blair is right. DanceScape.com's on line store has the videos by Victor Veyrasset & Heather Smith and Corky & Shirley Ballas and part of the description says something like the videos can be supplemented with the DVIDA syllabus books. I went through the video descriptions to copy off all the steps listed there and put them in a file. If those videos are teaching the DVIDA syllabus, then I should have it basically all together. You can find a simple text version of that list at http://www.astro.umd.edu/~marshall/dance/dvida.txt If you really want a copy, I'd suggest saving it (it's small). I don't expect many people to want to know about the DVIDA syllabus, so I may delete the file eventually. It will be up there for at least a little while though so all of you here who are interested can check it out. Hopefully it's basically correct.

This is just speculation but I believe the syllabus contents will be identical. However, they may be taught in a different order. According to the info on Dancevision.com, the manuals are designed to work with the Corky and Shirley Ballas videos (for latin), and Victor Veyrasset and Heather Smith's standard videos.
