I'm getting rather tired of everyone suggesting that I do a rumba variant for our first dance at my wedding next year. I love the waltz, just can't find a track I'm happy with at the moment.

So, I'm looking for a dance that's classical and not latin for a 4/4 beat track. All suggestions welcome!

My dress has a lovely huge skirt so that has to be taken into account, my fiance has both a left and a right foot and we're prepared to put in hours perfecting the right routine...

At the moment I'm kinda leaning towards a foxtrot...

If you want a really awesome waltz try the cider house waltz off the movie cider house rules. It is like the perfect waltz piece.
My favorite foxtrot is wink and a smile by harry connick jr.

Though I consider foxtrot to be the definitive ballroom dance, I would personally choose Waltz for a wedding. But it's your wedding, so here are some foxtrot ideas:

-A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square
(nice - swinging but dignified, and a 'night we met' love story)

-More (Andy Williams) Classic, enduring love/respect, etc

-I will Wait for You (if it takes forever)
(the better recordings of this require experience
to dance in time with, and it may be a little
too sad for those familiar with Les Parapluies de Cherbourg)

-Dancing Cheek to Cheek

And just for humor value, you should listen
to "She's no lady" once before the ceremony...

Try "It Is You" from Shrek, only slow it down about 3%. Also, "Dance Only With Me" (Perry Como?) is a good one. Both very pretty waltzes.
