I had no luck with my first question....I'm very disapointed...
My question is:
Do anyone know if the "box step" was first used in Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba or samba?

Hope I have more ot better luck with this question.

Don't know he answer to that one myself... I was hoping someone else knew.

My guess is that it began with the Slow Waltz. I think Arthur Murray is the one credited with the transition from Waltz to the other dances, as part of his concept of the "Interrelated Sytem of Taching".

But I could be totally wrong. (c:
