I was hoping that someone might be able to help me find some information about the dance Foxxy our ballroom dance society is trying to focus on dancing throught the century for National Ballroom Dance Week. We are in the middle of finding someone to teach it to our memebers but I was hoping that I might be able to find some history on it where it derived from and what time period it became popular. I would appreciate the help thank you.

From one of the Arthur Murray studios webpage:

Foxxy, a slow dance from the 1930s/1940s! Goes well with songs that are Nightclub 2 Step tempo. It is NOT Nightclub 2 Step, but does use some foxtrot basics.

From Coloradodancestudios.com:

A slow, romantic variation of the Foxt Trot, the Foxxy is a swaying, close dance that is adaptible and easy to learn. This is truly the dance for lovers!

Neither websites gave further detailed informations other than the above copied statements. I searched with the key words "foxxy dance" and those were the ones I got along with about 900+ unrelated or semi-related leads.
