Hi everyone,

Doesn't anybody have an idea about the song I told?
Can someone at least tell me which songs, in Jive, are most commonly played in a Latin Dance Competition ?
Thanks...

I plugged in:

Latin professional ballroom dance competition eurosport germany

at http://www.google.com

and got 4 hits including:

It's a start. Good luck!

If you could narrow down the location of the competition you mentioned you could try and contact them directly.

Try as many keywords you can think of at:

http://www.google.com

If they can't find it nobody can.

Best of luck!

I don't think there are any particular songs that get played at competitions more often than others. What gets played probably depends in part on what songs are popular at the time. But there are also so many songs that can be used for any given dance that I don't think people restrict themselves to only using a few specific ones at comps. The exception to that is paso doble where they always use Spanish Gypsy Dance (Espana Cani) or another song that's phrased in the exact same way. Competitors expect that phrasing, their routines are designed around it, and I don't think any comp organizer is going to mess with them and not give them the music they all expect. There would be a lot of upset competitors if they did that, I think. As for your previous question maybe no one knows what song it was that was played at that comp. Most people who don't know the answer to a question aren't going to reply and say, "I don't know", they just won't answer. A lack of replies therefore usually means no one (who has read the thread) can give you a good reply.
