Help, what dance type

Hi,

My fiance and I really would like to use The Pogues - Love you till the End as our first dance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BntEHyrHC-U). Does anyone have an idea what dance would suit it best?

Cheers

Emma

This is a difficult one Emma. It sounds like a range of common ballroom dances would suit this song but I would be inclined towards a quickstep or a fast (using the term loosely) foxtrot or even a mixture of the 2. Hope that helps and you have a fabulous day! :)

I'd like to add a similar question. My daughter's wedding will have a jazz band, and she would like her father-daughter dance to be to "Unforgettable," which is in 2 and kind of slow. Dance for this?

Unforgettable would typically be a FOXTROT. Foxtrot is danced to music that is 28-30 MPM (Measures Per Minute). Local Dance Instructors can help you with choreography for a Foxtrot that will impress all your guests.

Hi There,
Been listening to your selection for your first wedding dance and find it very fast and without any recognizable dancable beat. Being your first dance , it should be sensual (rumba) or even sexy (argentinian tango). Argentinian tango would be a better choice because that dance is not danced to the beat of the music. Another choice would be a "theater arts" dance , which again , might be beautifully choreographed but it doesn't have to be danced to the beat of the music and that might your best bet. Good luck !

Love You Till The End doesn't neatly fit into any specific Ballroom Dance. Quickstep may work (as one of the others suggested), but it is probably the most difficult dance to learn. However, if you're determined to dance to that song, you may want to contact a local Dance Instructor to help with your choreography. Good Luck!
