Hey there,
I'm an instructor in Washington State and i'm moving down the coast to North Cali in about 6 months and finding a studio down there to teach at is my number one priority.
So, anywayz... I was just wondering, how tough is the competition down there? I'm only bronze level but a fast learner so is that going to be a major factor? If any instructors in that area could just let me know if the East Bay/Antioch area is really tough it would help me prepare for my move a bit more. Thanks all!

Although I've never lived there, this is what I do know: The competition is fairly stiff there, with some powerhouses such as David Weiss & Valentina. But the dancing scene is huge, so I would imagine that there's business enough for everybody.

I would suggest pursuing training and employment with the Metronome ballroom. It's one of the biggest independent studios in the country, and I hear they have a phenomenal teacher training program there. Check the Ballroomdancers.com dance directory to get contect info for them.
