I am a musician, who is specialised on ballroom music. For comparison reasons I want to know what good sources of this music are available. So far, I didnt find anything in Europe, and I am interested, where you get music from. Thanks!

I am new to dancing and have trouble knowing what type of dance is playing and hearing the music once I do know. This probably sounds strange to musician. Can you tell me where I can obtain ballroom dance music for dance practice? Where the beat is discernable and not too fast. I am 58 and need something easy to learn by.

Are you German? What I would recommend is for you to have a look at the music section of www.dancevision.com .
They have a huge (i.e. v. v. big) selection of CDs of dance music, not just ballroom/latin, but also different swing styles (for the American market). Surf around on various national "amazons" as well, especially for Columbia Ballroom Orchestra and Premium Standard Orchestra.
www.ballroomdancers.com also have a music section, albeit not as extensive.
