I would like to become a registered user of DanceTalk.com. However, I was put off by your policy on revealing identities. I'm sure it would be helpful if you could further describe the exact nature of this. In particular: Who are you going to reveal the identity of the accused to? The press? I think not, and it would be great if you could change your policy to take away my unease about joining you!

No, I think you misunderstood the intent of the policy. The reservation to reveal identity is not held for the purpose of making it public; It is only held in the event that it is required by somebody for legal purposes. If the government comes knocking on my door looking for you because you posted instructions for building a bomb on our message board, it is my ethical responsibility to give your identity to them. But other than that which is absolutelty required either by law or by ethics, we have no reason to reveal an identity. To be honest, I've never even looked at them... I have no reason to.

So I wouldn't worry too much, unless you're planning on bombing a dance studio. (:
