The Tango clips are about 3 years old now, and need to be re-done. The files themselves don't somehow "wear out with age", however, the technology is constantly evolving, and computer software sometimes outgrows old file formats.
This seems to be the case with the most recent versions of the Windows Media Player. Although it's still supposed to support the AVI format, I have received feedback from some users who tell me that it doesn't work anymore. Perhaps it accepts AVI's with certain compression schemes, but not with others.
Anyway, the bottom line is, you have two choices: (1) You could try to download the AVI files to your hard drive and then use some other type of player to view them, or (2) You could wait until we get around to re-doing the video in a new format. With option #2, the bad news is you may be waiting a while because we're not going to re-process the current video clips in a new format; We're going to film all-new video. We do hope to film new video by the end of this year, but I can't guarantee it. The good news is, when we do get around to re-doing the video, it will be much better, with narrated counts, music, and full instruction in the most current versions of the quicktime and realvideo formats.
