As a second-year, new-comer beginner (I am now daring the first class in ballroom dancing), I have many questions. When I can't get somebody here in Switzerland to explain something, I try elsewhere. This is the perfect hunting ground for open questions.

in this new Topic: Terminology.

What is a Morgan Turn? (And does anybody use it anymore?)

Background:
It was introduced by some American by the name of Morgan about one year after Arthur Carringford (Harry Fox) began getting credit for the Fox Trot and a few years before the Vernon Castles, G.K. Anderson (an American) and the English also began to get much of the credit.

I don't want this to be a history topic, put that on another topic, please. I just want to have a spot for having a clear (relative) explanation for expressions, which people use and are not commonly known what they are.
