I'm new to the forum and was just wanting to know a little bit about yourselves!
I'm 16 and I teach Jazz/Tap at my Mom's dance studio here in Florida. I've danced for 11 years. My dream is to be in music videos and dance backup.

hi! i am 16 too i have been dancing for 13 yrs and i teach jazz and ballet at my dance school! my dreams we always to be a backup dancer too! i got to meet the back up dancers for Dream backstage at the destiny's child concert and they told me it was amazing!!! well i just thought i would say hi and hope to talk more since we have something in common!

So, do you dancesport? Not jazz and tap, I mean ballroom, latin or maybe argentine? Just wondering what you're doing here...not a lot of ballroom dance in music videos
Still, if you don't dance ballroom yet, then you should look into it...I too have some tap, jazz, ballet background (not as much as you unfortunately!!)--but what hooked me on ballroom was the partnering. There's just nothing like training one on one with someone...Also, I love that in ballroom you dance on floor level...no stages and glaring lights to block out the audience. You dance on their toes, it's very intense. Hope that you stick around, best wishes--M

hey i'm new here but i love to ballroom dance! i would never have gotten into it if it was not in my school. when i started high school there was a ballroom danceing! i think we should get the word out because it is a great class! we learn anything from cha cha to two step even the shim sham!
