Hello to everyone:

The Westview Dance Club in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada was founded in January of 1970, and we feel that we may be the longest continuosly running non-profit dance group in Canada, or even in North America. Our organization is managed strictly by volunteers, and we have a membership of 88 couples ranging in ages from late 20's to 80's. The members are divided into 9 classes, and each class recieves one formal class of instruction per week, and the entire membership has one practice night as well. Our club season runs from September to May, and as well as the formal instruction and practice nights, we hold 3 dinner dances and 6 social dances throughout the season.

If other long running non-profit dance groups can provide us with information as to how long they have been running, we'd appreciate hearing from you.
