Does anyone have suggestions for a good conditioning/exercise program for someone looking to get more serious about ballroom & latin dancing?

Thanks,
Sofia

I think the "New York City Ballet Workout" is wonderful. It is not only a great workout, but it is helpful to anyone interested in improving their dancing. The workout is great at developing dance posture as well as flexability. It also has been wonderful for working on arm styling.

I highly recommend Pilates, along with some kind of aerobic conditioning.

I wouldn't know of any other sport/exercise But I was wondering this:

Are there sports that dancers are not "allowed" to do? I once heard that (serious) ballet dancers are not allowed to swim, because it trains the wrong group of muscles... What about ballroomdancers?
