Hi.
I've been hearing things about a free event called Folk Life in Seattle on memorial day weekend. I know some swing is involved. can anybody who is acquainted with this event tell me if there is enough swing interest to make a road trip from salt lake city worth the drive? My friends and I want to plan the trip for next year. If not, are there other great places to dance in Seattle that aren't super expensive? (we're students) Thanks.

Folk Life festival is a lot of fun but really, everytime that i've gone I haven't seen too much swing dancing there. It's mostly dancing from other cultures, if you are looking for places to go swing dancing there are plenty of other places to go... folk life isn't really one of them.

Folk Life is a blast though and it is a ton of fun to go and take part in the activities.

(Stupid retail mall job.)

I hear it's a blast, a friend from college volunteers almost every year. And when he isn't working he's dancing. But he's more into the Contra dancing than swing.
