I'm an amateur male swing dancer (East Coast swing), and wondered where I can find a 30's or 40s style "outfit" suitable for swing dancing. Was thinking of something dressy, like a suit with stripes and vest, suspenders, black and white shoes, etc. Any special vendors for this type of wear? Or any suggestions for "regular" clothing stores that might carry this stuff? Somebody has to be cashing in on this part of the swing craze! Thanks!

Hey great idea dancestore.com is great but it's also a great way to spend a lot of money! Actually I'm an amature Lindy Hopper and was in the same predicament as you are. I have found that a fantastic way to get great clothes at half the price is on Ebay.com. Once on there search for Swing Shoes, Swing dance, Swing suit... ect. You will find great buys on there and some stuff vintage and new. Also DanceStore.com is trying to clean out there shelves at this time and has put lots of bleyers shoes up for sale. Good Luck!
